Well, there is some new life in the Pacific. While the Atlantic is still relatively quiet with no name storms yet this year, it is still early. Uh we’re up to our Dtor Storm, the fourth name storm of the season in the East Pacific. Here we have Delila. Tropical Storm Delila has formed back at midday on Friday and the storm’s moving uh somewhat swiftly. 10 mile per hour forward motion to the northnorthwest running a little closer to the Mexican coast. It’s going to sideswipe the Mexican coast even though the core of
the storm will stay offshore.

We’re going to show you the iPath, but there will be impact is close enough to the coast that we’ll see some heavy rain. So, it’s kind of a a brush with the Mexican coast here. Uh, and the greatest impacts will happen over the next 24 hours, the first half of this weekend. So, the max sustained winds will strengthen a little bit more. Uh we’re going to see a sideswipe here with max sustained winds probably around 40 m per hour. But the gusts will possibly exceed 40 to near 60 miles per hour there at least at times with some of the outer rainbands. And the the bigger story is probably going to be the flooding.
4 to 8 ines of rain along portions of the Mexican coastline here uh with a little bit bit of additional upslope flow here with that circulation. Uh we have the mountains pancakes right up against the coast here and that’s going to produce more rainfall. So, there will be some flooding uh with 4 to 8 in in some spots. And this storm will have overall limited impacts. An active weather real
